Bombay high court refuses to stay the release of the hindi fim “I LOVE YOU “ in a plea filed against the makers of the film by lion gate india LLP( LGIL) relation to copyright infringement.

The suit was filed against the producer of the film and was claimed that the producers of “ I LOVE YOU “ had infringed their exclusive right to remake the American film “P2”.

LGIL claimed that the summit entertainement ,an American entity  was the sole and exclusive owner of all copyright of P2. It had granted exclusive license for the hindi remake right of the film by LGIL.

Athena EnM LLP , denied all allegations and claimed that the producer is completely  original. Viacom also opposed the prayers.

Thus  justice chagla refused to grant stay on the release of the film.
