About DSLSA

Delhi State Legal Services Authority erstwhile Delhi Legal Aid & Advice Board has been constituted by an Act of Parliament passed under “The Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987” as amended by the Legal Services Authorities (Amendment) Act, 2002, to provide free and competent legal service to the weaker sections of the society to ensure that opportunities for securing justice are not denied to any citizen because of economic or other disabilities, and to organize Lok Adalats to secure that the operation of the legal system promotes justice on a basis of equal opportunity.

About the Opportunity

The objective of the Internship program is to provide first-hand experience of the day-to-day operations of the Authority by closely working at the grassroots level of our Society as well as hands-on experience on legal issues faced by people at large.

This is a unique opportunity to have an understanding of the Free Legal Aid System and how different stakeholders work in tandem with each other to ensure that the benefit of various welfare schemes of the Government as well as DSLSA/NALSA reach the marginalized section of the society. Efficiency in written Communication (English), Legal writing, Basic legal knowledge, and computer operation in Word/Excel/PPT.

Eligibility Criteria

Law students pursuing Five years or Three Years Courses are eligible to apply for this program. Minimum 75% attendance is a must for the Internship.
