About Saksham 3.0

Project Saksham 3.0 is an extension of Project Saksham, a legal aid and legal literacy project, initiated by NEK Mission Foundation (Run by Alumni of Law Faculty DU).

The project is dedicated to the upliftment and betterment of society through comprehensive support such as legal, educational, medical and more.

Objectives

  • Provide free legal assistance and support to empower marginalized communities, including women, children, elderly people, workers, alcoholics, victims of drug abuse, LGBTQ+ communities, and sex workers, ensuring access to justice for all.
  • Implement programs to raise awareness about the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act on school campuses, creating a safer environment for students.
  • Develop initiatives to combat cybercrimes and promote cybersecurity measures to foster a safer digital world for everyone.

Activities Under the Project

  • Conducting field visits and door-to-door surveys to gather data on legal and another related issues in the designated area, with a focus on reporting on the conditions in slums.
  • Organize Legal Awareness Camps and health camps, aiming to educate and provide essential services to the community.
  • Implement educational drives for underprivileged children and conduct training sessions on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and cyber laws in schools.
  • Visits to orphanages and old age homes to offer support and companionship to residents.
  • Special visits to significant institutions such as the Supreme Court, Parliament, High Court, and Tihar Jail.
  • Out-of-state visits to broaden exposure and understanding of diverse perspectives.
  • Host exclusive webinars, seminars, workshops, and other events to facilitate learning and discussion on relevant topics.

Students of UG, PG, and Ph.D. can apply for this project.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of the following rounds:

Round 01: Google Form Screening

  • Complete the Google form provided.
  • Submissions will undergo evaluation by our selection committee.
  • Shortlisted candidates will proceed to the next round for an interview.

Round 02: Personal Interview

  • Engage in a personal interview to allow our panel of interviewers to assess your skills, interests, and dedication to societal causes.
