[i]DR Ashok ramappa patil takes over as vice chancellor of national law university of study and research in law ranchi .he succeeded Dr kesava rao vurrukula .
Chief justice of Jharkhand high court appointed him as the vice chancellor of the university.he pursued his education at karnataka university ,dharwad .he holds a B.Sc in criminology and forensic science in 1993.,then he completed his LLB and then his LLM in mercantile law .he later went to complete his phd in consumer law .
He initially practiced in high court of karnataka ,post which he stepped into academia and worked as a lecturer. He joined NLU Bangalore as an associate professor and then was promoted as a professor.
He said that it is a great opportunity and there is a lot of scope for improvement at the university
