Justice Chaly stated, “This is an essential prerequisite for upholding the public’s faith in the legal system, which is playing a vital role in maintaining society’s peace, harmony, and equilibrium.”

Justice Shaji P. Chaly, a judge at the Kerala High Court, said on Friday that lawyers

should use technology to better meet the needs of litigants as they interact with the legal system.

In addition, Justice Chaly asked the Bar to help the Court decide on old civil and criminal appeals in order to shorten the length of cases.

“I demand the individuals from the Bar to bridle and use the mechanical headways in our overall set of laws particularly when the focal and state legislatures are giving adequate assets to foundation and innovative turns of events. The judge continued, “I would also request the members of the Bar to fully support the disposition of old civil appeals, criminal appeals, and revisions, which increases the total duration of cases before this court.”

He argued that this is necessary to maintain public trust in the legal system.

At a full court reference held in his honor to commemorate his retirement from service, Justice Chaly spoke.

Justice Chaly graduated from Maharaja’s Government Law College, Ernakulam, on May 29, 1961.

He enlisted as a promoter in January 1986 and rehearsed under the steady gaze of the Kerala High Court and subordinate courts in Ernakulam.

Advocate General K Gopalakrishna Kurup said at the Friday reference that Justice Chaly was a first-generation lawyer and that his success in the field was only the result of consistent hard work.

The road to success is harder for lawyers of the first generation. “Your lordship was consistently diligent in the legal profession from the very beginning, and such diligence paid off,” AG Kurup stated.
