About the Competition

SOLS, Sangam University, is committed to a show of cooperative and collective resilience. Hence, we have planned to organize its National Moot Court Competition, 2024 to provide an environment where aspiring lawyers can enhance their legal proficiencies and booting skills with a unique concept.

The competition strives to give a platform to the budding lawyers of our country to imbibe analytical skills in real-time situations. The aim is to engage with students and allow them to have a first-hand experience of the complexities of the law.

Eligibility

Participation from all the year’s bonafide law students enrolled in the PG Course, 5-year integrated program, and 3 years LLB program with the aim to inspire, promote, and inculcate drafting & writing techniques, oratory skills, and high-focus research acumen in 1st-year law students.

• Commencement of Registration: March 30, 2024
• Last date of Registration: April 14, 2024
• Last date for submission of Memorials (online): April 18, 2024
• Last date for seeking Clarifications (if any): April 20, 2024
• Inaugural Ceremony and Orientation: April 23, 2024
• Preliminary Rounds: April 23, 2024
• Quarter-final Round: April 23, 2024
• Semi-final Rounds: April 24, 2024
• Final Round: April 24, 2024
• Valedictory Ceremony and Prize Distribution: April 24, 2024

Prizes

• Winning Team Cash Prize of Rs. 20,000/- + Trophy
• Runner-Up Team Cash Prize of Rs. 10,000/- + Trophy
• Best Speaker/ Mooter – Cash Prize of Rs. 5,000/- + Trophy
• Best Memorial – Cash Prize of Rs 5,000/- + Trophy
• Best Researcher – Cash Prize of Rs. 2,000/-
• Certificate of Participation shall be provided to all the participants and the Mementoes shall be provided to each participating team.

Registration Fee

The registration fee for the competition is INR 1700/- (with Accomodation or INR 1500/-
(without Accommodation).
