Governor Acharya Devrat administered oath of office to the newly sworn Chief Justice at Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar. The ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and other ministers.
The Supreme Court collegium gave the recommendation on July 5th 2023. Justice Sunita Agrawal Stands to be only Chief Justice of the high courts in the country. She graduated from Awadh university in 1989 and went on pursuing practice in civil side at Allahabad High Court.
On 21st November 2011, Justice Agrawal was elevated to Additional Judge of Allahabad high court, further she was appointed as permanent of Allahabad High Court.
