About the Seminar

Nehru Academy of Law is organising a Three-day International Seminar on the “Impact of Globalization on Legal Education – Trends and Challenges: Global and Regional” – Hybrid (Offline & Online).

The Seminar aims to explore the concerns associated with the central theme in light of the impact of globalization on legal education, the recent trends, and the multifaceted challenges amid the push for global standards, respecting and integrating diverse legal traditions and local contexts.

  • Laws of international importance like intellectual property rights, Environmental Laws, Right Laws, Anti-terrorist Laws, etc.
  • Global laws on mergers and acquisitions, corporate laws, etc.
  • Global employment and the need to acquire new laws.
  • Introduction to Foreign Laws to the Indian Legal System.
  • Need to acquire knowledge of the laws of various countries.
  • To provide continuous training to legal professionals and to keep up to date with global markets.
  • Need to generate lawyers who are comfortable and skilled in dealing with the different legal systems.
  • The changing demands of the legal market at the National and global level.
  • Collaboration with foreign Law schools and influence of foreign-educated lawyers.

NOTE: The above-mentioned topics are not exhaustive; Authors are open to work on any other topics which can also be accommodated if it is in the tune with Central theme of the seminar.

Submission Guidelines

  • Abstract: An abstract of 300 Words.
  • Word limit for Full Paper: 3000-5000 words including footnotes.
  • Every Submission should be in MS Word, doc., or docx. Format in A4 Layout.
  • The Titles should be in Times New Roman, font size 14.
  • The Body of the manuscript should be in Times New Roman, Font size 12, 1.5 line spacing, justified.
  • The footnotes shall be in Times New Roman, font size 10, line spacing 1.
  • Citations must conform to the guidelines provided under the 21st edition of the Bluebook system of citation. Speaking footnotes and endnotes are discouraged.
  • The Papers shall be screened by a Committee. The Full Papers approved by the Committee shall be accepted for presentation in the Seminar. The intimation of selection will be made through your registered E-mail.
  • The final paper should contain a cover page that includes Name, Designation, Relevant Discipline and Year of Study, Address, e-mail ID, and Contact number.
  • Abstracts and papers should be written in English, the working language of the Seminar will be English, and presentations shall be done in English.
  • Submissions should be made by the author who will attend the Seminar.
  • Co-Authorship is allowed but limited to one Co-Author only.
  • Only one paper per participant will be permitted.
  • The papers must be the original work of the author(s). No part of the paper should have been published earlier nor should it be under consideration for publication. Any form of Plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification.

Prizes

Publication: Selected papers will be published in a book with ISBN No. and authors shall pay Rs.1000/- regarding editorial and publication expenses.

Certificate: All participants and presenters will be provided with an e-certificate in online mode and a hard copy of the certificate in Offline Mode.

For Paper Presenters: To be paid after the confirmation of acceptance of full paper. (includes lunch)
For professionals / Research Scholars / Academicians and other stakeholders:
INR. 2000 (Single Author) and an additional fee of Rs.1000 should be paid in case of a maximum of one Co-Author
Students (LLB & LLM): INR.750 (Single Author) and an additional fee of Rs.500
should be paid in case of a maximum of one co-author For Participation Only: INR. 250.
(Kindly note registration fee for participants without paper presentation, does not include lunch however will be provided with tea/refreshments)
