About the Job Opportunity

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Drafting: Draft, review, and amend a wide range of corporate legal documents including but not limited to contracts, agreements (NDA, MOU, Master Service Agreements related to lending partnerships with Banks, NBFCs, Fintechs etc.
  • Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research on various topics including corporate law, data privacy laws, and intellectual property.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Well abreast with RBI regulations including Digital Lending Guidelines (“DLG”), Outsourcing Guidelines and such other guidelines as applicable for an Lending Service Provider (“LSP”) so as to draft and negotiate clauses accordingly.
  •  Document Review: Assist in the review of contracts and legal agreements to ensure compliance with applicable laws, accuracy, and risk mitigation.
  •  Communication: Collaborate effectively with business teams, and clients, providing clear and concise legal communication. Ensure timely updates and feedback are provided.
  •  Administrative Tasks: Handle document management, filing, and maintenance of records, list of agreements etc. in a structured and organized manner.

Eligibility & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from an accredited university. A Master’s degree (LLM) or further certifications in corporate law is a plus.

 Experience: 4-8 years of experience in corporate law, preferably in a law firm or legal department in a Fintech, Bank, NBFC, LSP etc. with exposure to corporate drafting related to BFSI sector.

Skills:

 – Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain legal matters clearly to Lending Partners and colleagues.

 – Proficient in legal drafting with a strong understanding of corporate law principles.

 – Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

 – Knowledge of corporate transactions, business structures, and legal compliance.

 – Strong research skills and analytical thinking.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with legal research tools and contract management software is an advantage.

Personal Attributes:

– Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.

– A team player with a proactive and professional attitude.

– Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive legal information.

– Good negotiation and problem-solving skills
