While dealing with two Public Interest Litigation pleas filed against the ill presentation and dialogues of the recently launched movie, Adipurush, the Allahabad High Court has stated while bashing the filmmakers as to why the tolerance of a specific religion is being put to test again and again.

The bench of Justice Rajesh Singh Chauhan and Justice Shree Prakash Singh remarked that it isn’t good to suppress the people of the community who do not create any public order problem and we should be thankful to those who watched the movie and did not create any major Law and Order situation as they only forced the theatres to close the hall and they could have done something else as well.

While the respondents argued that a disclaimer had been added in the film, the bench noted that the countrymen and youth aren’t brainless and you can not claim that it is not Ramayana even after showing the characters of Lord Rama, Laxman, Goddess Sita and Ravan in the movie.[1]

The Court questioned the Deputy Solicitor General of India on how he would defend the film in the face of clearly unpleasant scenes and dialogues. The Court, on the other hand, directed him to seek advice from the competent authorities.
