• In addition to manipulating videos, Deepfake technology can also create misleading images and imitate voices, posing a risk of using information to damage reputations, manipulate financial markets, influence election results, or incite social unrest.
• The detection of deepfakes remains a persistent challenge, as the technology continues to advance and produce more sophisticated and convincing forgeries. To address the ethical and social implications of deepfake technology, a combination of technological advancements, public awareness, and policy measures is necessary.
• While deepfake technology has the potential to enhance entertainment, filmmaking, and creative industries by enabling more realistic special effects and immersive experiences, its malicious use raises serious concerns.
