Hon’ble Justice Krishna Iyer, during one of his stay with the Surana Family in the late 1980s spoke at length with the firm’s Founder, Mr. P.S Surana on the need & importance of developing young advocates with strong advocacy abilities. He was particularly concerned that talented young law graduates were leaving the Bar to join the corporate sector, thereby depriving the Bar of strong talent.
About the Competition :
“Surana & Surana Judex 2.0 National Human Rights Law Moot Court Competition”
The Surana & Surana and Kalinga University National Human Rights Law Moot Court Competition has been conceived with the aim of creating opportunities for learning and facilitating development of jurisprudence in the emerging field, offering a forum for discussions on developments in Human Rights law, in addition to fostering the development of cutting-edge skills in research, writing, and advocacy.
The Faculty of Law, Kalinga University is proud to announce the first edition of “Surana & Surana Judex 2.0 National Human Rights Law Moot Court Competition” in association with its esteemed joint organizer, Surana & Surana International Attorneys, Chennai. The competition is scheduled from 06th & 07th July, 2024 (Online Rounds : Prelims, Octa Finals & / Quarter Finals) will be held virtually via Google Meet and on 17th August 2024 (Offline Rounds : SemiFinals & Final) at the Kalinga University Campus, Raipur.

About the National Moot Court Competition
The Faculty of Law, Kalinga University, Naya Raipur, cordially invites you to the 5 National Moot Court Competition, which is going to be held in hybrid mode on 06 & 07 July 2024 and physical rounds on 17 August 2024. Kalinga University organised the 1 National Moot Court Competition in August 2018, the 2 National Moot Court Competition in January 2020, and the 3 National Moot Court Competition in September 2022. The latest edition to the list was the 4 National Moot Court Competition, 2023, under the name “Judex”. The event saw registrations from over 30 teams from all around India to participate in the three-day event from 14 – 16 September 2023.
