The Delhi Police’s statement that the evidence pertaining to 23-year-old Faizan, who was killed by police brutality following the Delhi Riots, has been kept in safe custody was recorded by the Delhi High Court on Wednesday.

During the riots, it is alleged that Faizan was beaten up and forced to sing the National Anthem. His mother, Kismatun, claims that he passed away as a result of injuries sustained during the police beating of him.

Special Public Prosecutor( SPP) Amit Prasad, speaking on behalf of the Delhi Police, said that the original document journals, an arrest memo, and other case-related documents will be presented to the Court whenever necessary.
After Advocate Vrinda Grover, who was representing Kismatun in the case, expressed enterprises regarding the same, Justice Anup Jairam Bhambhani recorded the submission.
Grover stated that the Delhi Police’s affidavit doesn’t confirm that the applicable period’s duty canon, arrest memo, and station journals have been saved in their original forms.
The Court heard Kismatun’s plea for a court-supervised disquisition into Faizan’s death.

According to the solicitation, Faizan was severely assaulted by police at Kardampuri and also immorally detained at the Jyoti Nagar Police Station, where he was denied medical care and failed.
Grover argued that the Delhi Police leadership should have conceded that Faizan’s death was a hate crime during the case.
” This is an act of hate. I have been targeted because of my faith. What occurred in other authorities is known to us. Grover said,” The George Floyd case is known to us.”
She questioned Delhi Police’s account of the incident and its disquisition, stating that, unexpectedly, neither the Jyoti Nagar Police Station nor Kardampuri had any working CCTV cameras on the day of the incident.
Grover added that the Delhi police was only looking into the vids that showed Faizan being beaten up until now, but they have not said important about whether they’re also looking into what happened at Jyoti Nagar Police Station.

According to SPP Amit Prasad, the police are looking into the incident and have transferred voice samples of some of the police officers involved for forensic analysis.
He stated that the absence of faces in the incident videos makes it grueling to identify the police officers.
The incident redounded in five injuries. Of the four individuals who made due, two did not approach, and two who had said that nothing passes in the police headquarters. Prasad stated,” They’ve also failed to identify the police officers who are contented to have trashed them during the screams.”

Posterior to hearing the entries shortly, the Court recorded the case for fresh contentions on May 8.
