The controversy in Delhi involves the excise policy aimed at boosting revenue and  reforming liquor trade, which was withdrawn due to allegations of irregularities.  Investigations are ongoing, leading to the arrest of Manish Sisodia. Manish  Sisodia, an AAP leader, was arrested by the CBI and ED for his involvement in the  excise policy case. He is accused of making decisions without proper approval and  refusing to cooperate with the investigation. The Supreme Court has dismissed the  review petition filed by AAP leader Manish Sisodia, denying him bail in the money  laundering case related to the Delhi Excise Policy Scam. The court found no  grounds for review. Sisodia, who has been in jail since February, filed a review  petition after the Delhi High Court denied him bail in a bribery scam case. He can  approach the court again if the trial proceeds poorly in the next 6 months. The  Enforcement Directorate alleges a conspiracy to give profit to private companies in  the liquor policy. Bail applications of Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia  were rejected, and the Supreme Court denied bail. 

On Wednesday That is 13.12.2023, The Supreme Court rejected the review petition  of AAP leader Manish Sisodia, who was denied bail in a money laundering case  related to the Delhi Excise Policy Scam. He has been in  jail since February 26 and is being investigated by the CBI and ED. Delhi Deputy  Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has filed a review petition through his advocate  Vivek Jain. He has been in jail since February 26, being investigated by the CBI  and ED for his alleged involvement in a liquor license scam. The Delhi High Court  had previously denied him bail, leading him to approach the Supreme Court.
