The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) was established in 1998 by a Statute of the State of Andhra Pradesh. Since its inception, the University has been home to vital conversations on law and justice. These conversations have acknowledged that questions of justice arise in all legal pursuits whether in the world of courts, corporations, education or administration.

About the Opportunity

The Milon K. Banerjee Centre for Arbitration Law at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad (“Centre”) is conceptualized as a research, training and teaching centre which would serve as a hub for students, legal scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to converge, exchange ideas, educate and contribute to the evolution of arbitration practices. By focusing on state-of-the-art methodologies and staying abreast of global trends, the Centre endeavours to play a pivotal role in shaping the future landscape of arbitration in India

The Centre is looking for Research Scholars from NALSAR who can assist it in achieving its objectives. Accordingly, the Centre calls for applications from NALSAR students who are presently studying in 3rd year or above and are interested in arbitration law.

Eligibility Criteria

NALSAR students who are presently studying in 3rd year or above and are interested in arbitration law.

How to Apply?

Interested candidates are required to submit in their CVs, a covering letter on what interests them about arbitration law and why they wish to join the Centre, and a short article on: The Lack of Power in a S. 34 Court to Amend / Modify an Arbitral Award: Rationale, Implications, and Solutions (not exceeding 1500 words) and email it to mkbac@nalsar.ac.in
