Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates should possess:
- Graduate/Post Graduate in Law; or
- Doctorate in Law from a recognized university in India
Preference may be given to:
- Candidates practicing at the Bar
- Candidates having professional experience
- Candidates having literary works in law
Age Limit

Age relaxation for PwBD candidates shall be as per rules.
Selection Process
Stage-I: Written Examination
Objective-type examination of 120 marks comprising:
- English – 30 Marks
- General Knowledge – 10 Marks
- General Aptitude – 10 Marks
- Knowledge in Law – 50 Marks
- Assamese Language – 20 Marks
Duration:
- 2 Hours
Candidates must secure at least 40% marks in Assamese language proficiency to qualify.
Stage-II: Interview/Viva-Voce
- 30 Marks
- Candidates in 1:3 ratio shall be shortlisted from written examination
- Minimum qualifying marks: 18 out of 30
