The Manipur high court on Thursday ordered the popularity quo to be maintained on the proposed burial website in Haolai Khopi village of Churachandpur district, where the Kuki-Zo network had planned a burial carrier for 35 human beings killed within the ongoing violence inside the nation.

The courtroom additionally allowed representatives of the Kuki-Zo network to apply to officers for allotment of land for burial.

The continuing violence in Manipur stemmed from the opposition of certain tribes to the call for most of the people of the Meitei network for Scheduled Tribe status.
