The High Court of Madhya Pradesh has taken Suo Moto Cognizance of the death of children in the open tube wells in Madhya Pradesh. Earlier in this month June only a three year old girl in the Sehore district of Madhya Pradesh fell into a 300 feet deep open bore well ,i.e, tube well and got stuck at around 40 feet and slipped down to the depth of a 100 feet due to the vibrations caused by machines used for her deliverance . Two days later she was pulled out of the bore well in an unconscious state and declared dead. As per the media reports more than half dozen incidents of children plummeting or falling into open bore wells ,i.e, tube wells and some of the children dying have occurred in Madhya Pradesh in the last one year . 1While initiating the case on the issue division bench of the Justice Ravi Vijaykumar Malimath and Justice Vishal Mishra said that the matter pertains to the unfortunate death of children in the open tube wells throughout the state of Madhya Pradesh and hence the petition had been registered as a Suo Moto preceding.
