About the Job

Finvasia is hiring for the position of Legal Manager in Mumbai.

Role and Responsibilities

Provide legal guidance and support to various departments within the organization,
including but not limited to, operations, finance, compliance, and risk management.
Review and draft legal documents, contracts, agreements, and policies to ensure
compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations affecting the NBFC sector and provide
Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed and manage legal proceedings,
including litigation, arbitration, and regulatory inquiries.
Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues and provide clear and concise
advice to stakeholders.
Develop and implement compliance programs and procedures to ensure adherence to
regulatory requirements.
Assist in the development and implementation of corporate governance policies and
procedures.
Participate in due diligence activities for potential transactions, mergers, and
acquisitions.
Train and educate employees on legal and compliance matters to promote a culture of
compliance within the organization.

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized institution; Master’s degree or
specialized certification in financial law or related field preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on financial services and
regulatory compliance.
In-depth knowledge of NBFC regulations, including RBI guidelines and SEBI regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal
issues and provide practical solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact
with internal and external stakeholders.
Proven track record of managing legal matters and providing strategic advice to senior
management.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment, with a
strong commitment to integrity and professionalism.
