The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), with its Headquarters in Vanijaya Bhawan, New Delhi, is an attached Office of the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry. Right from its inception till 1991, when liberalization in the economic policies of the Government took place, this organization has been essentially involved in the regulation and promotion of foreign trade through regulation.

About the Job

The office of Additional DGFT (CLA) hereby invites applications for the preparation of a panel for engagement as Young Professionals on contractual arrangements in various disciplines & RAs to work in policy formulation and implementation of the schemes under the Foreign Trade Policy.

The engagement with the office provides an exciting opportunity to be a part of India’s economic growth as well as grow professionally with experience. A Young Professional can, progressively, grow up as a valuable asset for contributing to the Trade Policy of country.

Eligibility

The disciplines for which Young Professionals would be engaged and the required essential qualifications for each are as under:

Salary

The engagement of Young Professionals in the Zonal Offices/RAs in the North Zone will be in the following manner:

  • The office of Additional DGFT (CLA), New Delhi- 03 Vacancy – 60,000/-
  • RA, Ludhiana – 01 Vacancy – 56,000/-
  • RA, Kanpur – 01 Vacancy – 56,000/-
  • RA, Srinagar – 01 Vacancy – 56,000/-

Other Terms & Conditions

  • The engagement as Young Professionals shall be initially for a period of one year.
  • The engagement will be on purely contractual basis for a period of one year from the date of joining, and will be paid a consolidated fee per month as indicated in Table above (minus Professional Tax/TDS as applicable) subject to periodic completion of work certified by the controlling Officer. No other allowances and monetary benefits will be applicable.
  • Young Professionals will be required to submit a police verification report from their concerned police station and also submit a medical-cum-fitness certificate issued by any concerned hospital.
  • Working hours shall normally be from 9.30 AM to 6:00 PM during working days including half an hour lunch break in between. However, in exigencies of work, Young Professionals may be required to sit late and may be called on Saturday/Sunday and other holidays also.

Last Date to Apply

3 weeks from the date of notification dated 24 June i.e. 15 July. Therefore, interested and eligible candidates should apply by 15 July.
