About Delhi Judicial Academy

The Delhi Judicial Academy envisions strengthening the justice delivery system through Judicial Education, Training, Research and Policy Development. It provides Judicial Education and Training to judges of the District Judiciary and other stake holders. It focusses on strengthening judicial capacity and independence, inculcating ethical judicial practices, motivating development of professional skills and sharpening of legal knowledge. It also enables dialogue between different stakeholders of the Justice delivery system for improving access to justice.

About the Job

Applications are invited from Indian Nationals born on or after 01.07.1994 for appointment of 04 Law Researchers at Delhi Judicial Academy on a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 65,000/- (Rupees Sixty Five Thousand only) per month initially for a period of one year on contract basis extendable by another one year, at the sole discretion of the Appointing Authority.

Eligibility

The candidate must be a Law Graduate from a recognized university on the last date of receiving the applications.

Application Procedure

The applications shall be submitted in the prescribed form (Annexure “1”). The application shall bear the recent passport-size photograph of the applicant. The application shall be submitted by post only in a closed envelope, clearly mentioning on the envelope “Application for appointment as Law Researcher at Delhi Judicial Academy”, addressed to the Director (Administration), Delhi Judicial Academy, Sector-14, Dwarka, New Delhi-110078.

The application should reach the Academy on or before 04.08.2024 by 4:00 p.m. Applications that are incomplete, unsigned, and received after the prescribed date and time, shall be rejected summarily and no inquiry will be entertained in this regard. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an Interview which will comprise 100 Marks. Interview dates will be intimated telephonically/e-mailed later on. It may also be noted that the above engagement is purely contractual in nature.

It would not confer any right of permanent employment at Delhi Judicial Academy. It is also clarified that a Law Researcher will not be entitled to pursue further studies or practice or take up any other assignments during the period she/he works as a Law Researcher at the Academy.

Any ethical breach by a Law Researcher will be viewed seriously and will disentitle the Law Researcher from receiving a certificate etc. The applicants may also note that they may be required to work even beyond Office hours depending upon the exigency of the research work for which no over time shall be payable. No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates called for the interview.
