The 22nd Law Commission of India has opened the floor for public opinion and suggestions on the Uniform Civil Code (UCC). In a public notice, the commission called for views from the general public, recognized religious organizations, and other stakeholders within a 30-day period. Interested parties can submit their feedback through a provided link or via email. The commission’s decision to seek fresh deliberations on the UCC comes after the 21st Law Commission previously examined the subject and received overwhelming responses from stakeholders.
