Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow requires committed and motivated Research Staff for Department of Higher Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh sponsored ‘Centre of Excellence’ Scheme Research Project (2024- 25).

This is a short-term one-year Research Project which commenced from October, 2024 and it will be completed by on or before September, 2025. The job posting shall be at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow.

Eligibility

Essential: Ph.D./ M.Phil./ Postgraduate in Social Science discipline with minimum 55% marks

Desirable:

• Good communication skills, both written and oral in Hindi and English.
• Proficiency in MS Office, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, use of internet, email communication and web-based research.
• A minimum of six months empirical research experience and proficiency and ability in field data collection, processing of data and their presentation.

Job Description

The Research Assistant cum Field Investigator shall be working under the direct supervision of Project Director who shall be their reporting officer. The Research Assistant cum Field Investigator shall assist Project Director in all research work including Preparation of Final Project Report (Hardcopy & Softcopy), Executive Summary of Final Report, data collection, analysis of data etc. during the tenure of research work.

The Research Assistant cum Field Investigator has to visit to various places in Western Uttar Pradesh to collect data as per the research design prepared by the Project Director. The Research Assistant cum Field Investigator shall be solely responsible for data collection, analysis of data, literature review, preparation of Final Project Report and Executive Summary (Hardcopy and Softcopy) during this Research Project.

T&C of Service

The nature of the job is purely temporary and contractual. The position is co-terminus with the project duration. The Research Assistant cum Field Investigator shall be paid a consolidated monthly remuneration as mentioned above. Traffic Allowance (TA) and Daily Subsistence Allowance (DA) for outstation duties (data collection work only) shall be at fixed rates as per the University rules.
