Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited (MeECL) is a state-owned power utility under the Government of Meghalaya, engaged in the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity across the state. Its Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) at Umiam oversees training and development, including apprenticeship programs for fresh graduates.
About the Job Opportunity
MeECL is inviting applications from fresh graduates in the Arts, Science, Commerce, and Law streams for a 1-year apprenticeship program. This training opportunity is offered under the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961, and aims to provide hands-on experience to recent graduates through practical exposure and skill development.
Job Responsibilities:
- Attend apprenticeship training diligently at the assigned MeECL unit.
- Follow all lawful instructions from supervisors.
- Maintain records of work and complete assigned training modules.
- Abide by the conduct and disciplinary rules of MeECL.
- Undergo periodic evaluations and feedback sessions.
Eligibility & Qualifications:
- Qualifications:
- Degree in Arts, Science, Commerce, or Law
- Year of passing: 2023, 2024, or 2025
- Other Requirements:
- Must be a resident of Meghalaya
- Should be registered at www.mhrdnats.gov.in with a valid NATS enrollment ID
- No prior apprenticeship under the Act or job experience exceeding one year
- Age between 18 to 24 years as on 31.05.2025 (Relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-servicemen)
Additional Perks
- Stipend:
- â‚ą9,000 per month
- Certificate of Completion from MeECL and Certificate of Proficiency from BOPTER upon successful completion
- Applicable leaves and working conditions as per the Apprentices Act, 1961
