About the Event

Intellectus 2026 – Minds in Motion is a National-Level Hybrid Academic Conclave organized by the School of Law (Debate Society), Graphic Era Hill University. It is conceived as a national platform dedicated to the celebration of disciplined thought and articulate expression.

The term “Intellectus” signifies the human capacity to reflect, reason, interpret, and respond with depth and discernment. This conclave is not merely an academic competition; it seeks to nurture confident speakers, analytical thinkers, and responsible citizens prepared to engage meaningfully with constitutional values and contemporary challenges.

Civilizations endure not merely through institutions but through ideas. Democracies flourish not through silence but through informed, reasoned, and responsible discourse. In contemporary times—marked by accelerated information flows and increasingly polarized narratives—the need for structured intellectual engagement has become more urgent than ever.

The conclave integrates three core dimensions of academic development:

i. Oratory Competition

• Stage I – Declamation (Online) – 18^th March, 2026
• Stage II – Debate (Offline) – 25^th March, 2026
• Stage III – Extempore (Offline)- 25^th March, 2026

“AI in Education: A Digital Messiah or a Mechanical Menace?”

ii. Quiz Competition

iii. On-the-Spot Essay Writing

Eligibility & Participation

• The competition is open to students across India.
• School Students: Enrolled in Class X and above.
• College Students: Bonafide undergraduate and postgraduate students of recognized institutions.
• Participants may register for only one category: Oratory, Quiz, or Essay Writing.
• A valid institutional ID is mandatory.
• Participants must strictly adhere to all rules, timelines, and the code of conduct.
• The decision of the Judges and the Organising Committee shall be final and binding.
