A plea was filed by the telangana government to seek directions to Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan to clear ten bills which were passed by the legislative assembly earlier.
The Supreme Court has informed that the bills which were left for her assent has been assented to by the governor.
While the proceedings were on its way, bench comprising of CJI DY Chandrachud and Justice PM Narsimha has observed that the bills should be returned as soon as possible to give effect to the first proviso of article 200 of the Indian constitution.
When the bench observed that the matter should be disposed of quickly all the bills have assented to Senior Advocate Dushyant Dave urging the court to pass the order so, that the issue can be at rest and disposed of.
He said that the bills in Gujarat was passed in within the month and the bills in Madhya Pradesh was passed in within one week but the bills in telangana taking this much of time also it is an opposition state.
A heating argument took place between SG Mehta and Senior Advocate Dushyant Dave on the matter.
And at the end the matter was disposed of.
