About Webinar

Join us for a FREE LIVE WEBINAR titled “Access to Justice: Challenges and Innovations in India and South Africa” on 23 August 2025 at 06:30 PM IST | 03:00 PM SAST (Durban Time), organized by Legal Vidhiya. This thought-provoking session is open to law students, legal researchers, professionals, and social justice advocates interested in understanding how two major democracies are addressing barriers to justice in their unique socio-political contexts.

The webinar will explore the structural, economic, and legal challenges that hinder access to justice in India and South Africa, while also highlighting innovative legal frameworks, institutional reforms, and community-based solutions that are emerging in both countries. By comparing these jurisdictions, the session aims to identify patterns, differences, and collaborative learning opportunities in the pursuit of equitable justice systems.

Attendees will gain valuable insights into the role of legal aid, public interest litigation, digital courts, and pro bono initiatives in promoting justice for marginalized communities. The discussion will also touch upon the impact of technology, legal education, and judicial reforms in improving accessibility and accountability. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage in a comparative legal dialogue and understand how we can make justice more inclusive and effective in a rapidly changing world.
