
On Thursday, a summon was issued by the Delhi High Court against the former Managing Director of Bharat Pe, Ashneer Grover, his wife and other persons.
The Counsel appearing for Bharat Pe, Adv. Mukul Rohatgi submitted that after resignation from Bharat Pe, Ashneer Grover made many tweets regarding the company and Grover was aslo accused for running a vicious campaign against Bharat Pe.
The Counsel also submitted that though Grover was a Managing Director of the company, he brought his family to fleece the company by creating fictitious vendors in Panipat who were paid 50-60 crores but nothing was purchased.
Further, Grover never challenged his resignation and neither has he questioned the removal of his wife and his brother-in-law from Bharat Pe.
The Counsel, Mr. Rohatgi said that they want Grover’s assetes to be disclosed.
The Bench of Justice Navin Chawla, upon hearing the submissions presented before the Hon’ble Court issued summons in the case and gave the defendants two weeks to file their reply to Bharat Pe’s application seeking interim relief.
The next hearing of this case will be in January 2023.
