On June 14th the 22nd Law Commission of India has issued a notice asking the public to express their views on the Uniform Civil Code within 30 days. The All India Muslim Personal Law Board has sought an extension of at least 6 months on this from the 22nd Law Commission stating that the period is too short as compared with the view of vast nature of this issue.
The letter which was sent to the 22nd Law Commission of India, the AIMPLB has stated that the content which of the notice is not clear and no terms are mentioned that seem to invite suggestions.
