Being kept in mind the population of India, percentage of crimes and many other issues there has been drastic increased in the case logs.  We can imagine the number of cases which are getting filed in the court. Due to many circumstances, the  case didn’t come to final judgement in short span of time, it get engaged for years and years in the court.  At last it result in the storation of number of pending cases  in hierarchy stage of each Courts in India.

Thus, when there has been the abrogation of the Article 370 in the year 2019. 2,165 cases related to the Haebus Corpus cases were filed in the Jammu and Kashmir Courts as well as in the Supreme Court between 2019 and 2023, said Hasnain Masoodi, Law Minister. Further he also asked whether the disposed of the petition of Haebus Corpus under Public Safety Act ha been challenged by the Detention orders.

The reply stated was,

The Authority filed the necessary things regarding the pleading and made ensure that the records should be timely in the Honourable courts ensuring the presence of the counsels on the date of the hearings.
