The case against Lalit modi who is the founder of Indian premier league has been closed by the Supreme Court on Monday.
A case was filed against him after he posted a comment on social media in relation to Indian judiciary.
The plea was filed by Senior Advocate, Mr. Chander Uday Singh.
After the apology affidavit made by the Lalit Modi, Bench comprising Justice MR Shah and Justice CT Ravi Kumar decide to forgive him.
Lalit modi has filed the affidavit of apology on 17th April 2023; senior advocate Dr. A M Singhvi apprised the bench.
Not only he filed an affidavit for the apology but he also apologised on twitter and other social media platforms.
The bench hereby noticed that in the affidavit he clearly assured us of not repeating this mistake again and not going to indulge in the activities which may affect the majesty and dignity of the judges and advocates.
The judges forgive him because he accepted the affidavit with the trust and hope that in the future he will not commit such activity and do not indulge himself in the act which is against the whole judicial system.
The bench warned him that if police found him doing such activity than they will not spare him.
