Position 1: Associate – Corporate Commercial & Transactions

Position Details

Preference shall be given to candidates currently based in Chennai.

Role Overview

The Associate will support the Corporate Commercial & Transactions Team in:

• Advisory matters
• Transactional work
• Drafting and negotiation assignments
• Client coordination and transaction execution

Key Responsibilities

Selected candidates will be responsible for:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating:
  • Service agreements
  • Vendor contracts
  • NDAs
  • Supply agreements
• Assisting in:
  • M&A transactions
  • Private Equity transactions
  • Due diligence exercises
  • Transaction documentation
• Conducting legal research
• Preparing:
  • Legal notes
  • Opinions
  • Client advisories
• Supporting senior members in transaction structuring and deal management
• Coordinating with clients and internal teams

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the role should possess:

• LL.B. degree from a recognized university
• Enrollment with the Bar Council of India
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in:
  • Law firms; or
  • In-house legal teams

Preferred Skills

• Strong drafting and analytical skills
• Commercial awareness
• Attention to detail

Preference May Be Given To

• Candidates having LL.M. in relevant subjects
• Candidates currently based in Chennai

Position 2: Senior Associate – Corporate Commercial & Transactions

Position Details

Preference shall be given to candidates currently based in Chennai.

Role Overview

The Senior Associate will:

• Lead corporate and commercial advisory matters
• Independently manage transactions
• Mentor junior associates
• Handle client relationships and transaction workflows

Key Responsibilities

Selected candidates will be responsible for:

• Independently drafting, reviewing, and negotiating:
  • Commercial agreements
  • Transaction documents
• Leading:
  • Due diligence exercises
  • End-to-end transactional workflows
  • M&A transactions
  • PE/VC investments
  • Joint ventures
• Advising clients on:
  • Corporate law
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Transaction structuring
• Managing client relationships
• Supervising and mentoring associates
• Coordinating with:
  • Regulators
  • External advisors
  • Counterparties

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the role should possess:

• LL.B. degree from a recognized university
• Enrollment with the Bar Council of India
• 4–8 years of experience in:
  • Corporate/commercial practice
  • Reputed law firms
