Job Responsibilities:

Strong knowledge of retail banking laws and regulations in India
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven track record of managing legal and compliance issues in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Willingness to travel as required
Provide legal advice and support to the retail banking business of IDFC FIRST Bank
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies related to retail banking operations
Review and negotiate contracts and agreements with third-party vendors and service providers
Conduct legal research and analysis to identify potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure legal and regulatory compliance in all retail banking activities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address legal and compliance issues in a timely manner
Monitor changes in laws and regulations related to retail banking and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders
Conduct training sessions for employees on legal and compliance matters related to retail banking
Manage relationships with external legal counsel and ensure timely and cost-effective legal support for the retail banking business
Prepare and submit reports to senior management on legal and compliance issues and their resolution
