Job Responsibilities:
- Strong knowledge of retail banking laws and regulations in India
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven track record of managing legal and compliance issues in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Willingness to travel as required
- Provide legal advice and support to the retail banking business of IDFC FIRST Bank
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies related to retail banking operations
- Review and negotiate contracts and agreements with third-party vendors and service providers
- Conduct legal research and analysis to identify potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure legal and regulatory compliance in all retail banking activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address legal and compliance issues in a timely manner
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations related to retail banking and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders
- Conduct training sessions for employees on legal and compliance matters related to retail banking
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel and ensure timely and cost-effective legal support for the retail banking business
- Prepare and submit reports to senior management on legal and compliance issues and their resolution
Eligibility & Qualifications:
- Graduation: Bachelor’s in Law.
- Postgraduation: Master’s in law
- Experience: 3-4 Years of relevant experience
