About Centre for Constitutional Law Studies
The ‘Centre for Constitutional Law Studies aims to lead research on persistent and contemporary issues in Constitutional Law and Public Law (including Administrative Law) and political theory. It will seek to develop expertise in different methodologies and multi-disciplinary interests spreading across environmental studies, women & child rights, human rights, comparative public law, empirical socio-legal studies, and law and economics. Diverse concerns including issues of justice, violence, accountability, coercion and policy implementation can promote research at the Centre through various research projects, seminars, and critical approach towards the socio-legal approach.
About Constitution Week
Constitution Week is an initiative unique to Bennett University, celebrating the Indian Constitution beyond the traditional Constitution Day on November 26th. This week-long event, now in its third edition, expands on the ideals of Constitution Day by hosting a series of intellectual, educational, and competitive events. The goal is to deepen understanding, foster engagement with constitutional law, and promote dialogue on its relevance in modern India.
Since its inception, Constitution Week has grown to become a flagship event of the School of Law, drawing participation from students, academics, and legal professionals across the country. With two successful editions behind us, the third edition promises to be even more enriching, featuring a variety of activities aimed at exploring and appreciating India’s constitutional framework.

- Constitution Quest: A Multi-Stage Constitutional Law Quiz Competition
Constitution Quest is an exciting and intellectually stimulating multi-stage quiz competition designed to engage law students and enthusiasts from all over India. This innovative event aims to test participants’ knowledge of the Indian Constitution through a series of thought-provoking and challenging rounds, blending both online and offline formats for maximum accessibility and engagement. The competition will cover various aspects of constitutional law, from historical foundations to contemporary interpretations, encouraging participants to deepen their understanding and appreciation of India’s legal framework.
Prize Pool: Worth INR 22,000/-

- PIL Drafting and Pleading Competition
Embark on a journey of legal excellence with the PIL Drafting Competition, a flagship event of the 3rd Edition of Constitution Day Week-Long Celebrations at Bennett University! Organized by the Trial Advocacy and Litigation Centre in collaboration with the Centre for Constitutional Law Studies, this hybrid competition challenges law students nationwide to draft compelling Public Interest Litigations (PILs) on a pressing social issue. Participants will grapple with a contemporary legal challenge, to be unveiled at the start of the competition. This thrilling event offers a unique platform to hone your legal drafting skills, present before esteemed judges, and contribute to ongoing dialogues on social justice and constitutional rights.

- Judgment Writing Competition
The objective of the Judgment Writing Competition is to provide law students and other participants with a platform to enhance their legal reasoning, writing, and decision-making skills. Judgment writing competitions offer a unique opportunity for participants to step into the role of a judge and develop crucial skills essential for a career in the legal profession. This competition focuses on the art and science of crafting well-reasoned, clear, and concise judicial opinions. Participants will be presented with complex legal scenarios and tasked with analysing the facts, applying relevant laws and precedents, and articulating their decisions in a manner befitting a judicial ruling.

- Dialogue Duel – Debate Competition
This event is a dynamic platform for students to articulate their thoughts, engage in spirited discussions, and sharpen their critical thinking skills. Participants will tackle compelling topics, hone their public speaking abilities, and learn to construct persuasive arguments. Whether you’re an experienced debater or new to the art of debate, this competition offers a unique opportunity to challenge yourself, connect with like-minded peers, and receive valuable feedback from experienced judges.

- Poster Making Competition
This competition encourages participants to combine their artistic skills with meaningful concepts, addressing a wide range of social, cultural, environmental, and awareness-related themes. Through the power of visual communication, the competition fosters creativity, raises awareness, and promotes dialogue on pressing issues in an engaging and impactful manner. This competition offers students an opportunity to visually interpret and express the core principles of the Indian Constitution. There would be different themes that would be available for the students to choose from where they have to use their creativity to create a meaningful poster. It can either be in digital or handmade as per the choice of the participant.
