About the Organisers
The JIMS Engineering Management Technical Campus Department of Law, Greater Noida, has been a centre of excellence in Legal Education since its inception. It offers undergraduate Law Degrees (B.A. LL.B. and B.B.A. LL.B.), focusing on providing a strong foundation in legal principles and their practical applications.
The Department is committed to shaping students into future Legal Professionals through Innovative Teaching Methods, Rigorous Research Opportunities, and Practical Training.
To cultivate advocacy skills and instil professionalism among law students, the Moot Court Society plays a pivotal role at the JIMS Engineering Management Technical Campus Department of Law.
The Society organizes annual events designed to simulate real-world Legal Scenarios, encouraging the development of Analytical Thinking, Research Proficiency, and Practical Advocacy Skills essential for a successful Legal Career.
The Department has organised various intra-moot court competitions and four national-level moot court competitions, all of which were graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries. Distinguished judges, including Hon’ble Justice D.D. Jha (former Judge of Allahabad High Court), Hon’ble Justice S.N. Dhingra (former Judge of Delhi High Court), Justice Zaki Ullah Khan (former Judge of Allahabad High Court), and Justice V.B. Gupta (former Judge of Delhi High Court), have honoured these events.
Additionally, prominent legal experts such as Prof. (Dr.) Kanwal D.P. Singh (Dean of IP University), Mr. G.N. Raju (Secretary, Ministry of Law and Justice), Mr. K.C. Batlar (DLC, Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law and Justice), Prof. M. Afzal Wani (Professor of Law and former Dean at the University School of Law and Legal Studies), Justice Swatanter Kumar (former Chairperson of the National Green Tribunal), Prof. Dr. S.K. Singh (Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida), Adv. Rajeev Saxena (Advocate, Delhi High Court), and Adv. Ranjan Roy (Advocate, Delhi High Court) have contributed to the success of these events with their presence and guidance.
Through these initiatives, the Department continues to provide a platform for students to gain invaluable insights and practical experience, ensuring their holistic development and readiness for a challenging and rewarding legal career.
Details of 5th Jagannath Memorial Moot Court Competition, 2026
JIMS Engineering Management Technical Campus, Department of Law, Greater Noida, proudly presents the 5th Jagannath Memorial Moot Court Competition 2026, scheduled with the following timeline:
Preliminary Round: 27th March, 2026 (Online Mode)
Advanced Rounds: 17th April- 18th April, 2026 (Offline Mode at our campus)
The Theme of the Competition is Criminal and Constitutional Law, focusing on media accountability, freedom of speech, public order, police powers, and federal investigation mechanisms, providing participants an opportunity to analyse complex issues involving criminal liability, encounter scrutiny, judicial intervention, and Centre–State relations in a dynamic and challenging legal framework.
Eligibility
The Competition shall be open for the students who duly enrolled and are pursuing an integrated 5 years or 3 years Law Program in India from an institution recognized by the Bar Council of India.

Fee Details
· Early Bird Registration Fees (till 10th March, 2026): Rs. 1500/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand Only)
· Registration Fee (10th March, 2026 onwards): 2100/- (Rupees Twenty-One Hundred Only).
· Teams qualifying for the Advanced Rounds are required to pay an additional sum of ₹500/-
No accommodation shall be provided by the management team. Participants are required to arrange their own accommodation.
