Legal Vidhiya is inviting applications from eligible candidates for its Matrimonial Drafting Internship Program scheduled for February 2026.
Join our 4-Week Matrimonial Drafting Internship Program this February 2026 and gain hands-on experience in drafting essential matrimonial law documents through live drafting sessions conducted by legal experts.
This internship is a valuable opportunity to strengthen your drafting skills, deepen your understanding of matrimonial laws, and earn a Certificate of Completion — all from the comfort of your home.
Eligibility
- Open to Law Students and Legal Professionals
- Must maintain 100% attendance to be eligible for the certificate
- Complete all the tasks as per Instruction
- Certificate fee is refundable upon completion and meeting the criteria

What You Will Learn
Over the course of this 4-week internship program, you will gain hands-on experience in drafting and understanding key matrimonial law documents through structured weekly modules:
Week 1: Divorce Drafting (Contested & Mutual)
- Section 13, Hindu Marriage Act: Grounds for Divorce
- Drafting a Mutual Divorce Petition under the Hindu Marriage Act
Assignment 1:
- Draft a Mutual Divorce Petition under the Hindu Marriage Act
Week 2: Maintenance & Alimony Applications
- Section 125 CrPC: Maintenance for Wife, Child, and Parents
- Sections 24 & 25, Hindu Marriage Act
- Applications for Protection, Residence, Custody, and Maintenance
Assignment 2:
- Draft a Maintenance Application under Section 125 CrPC
Week 3: Domestic Violence Act Drafting
- Complaint under Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act
- Drafting Emergency and Interim Relief Applications
Assignment 3:
- Draft a Contested Divorce Petition
- Draft a DV Complaint along with an Interim Relief Application
Week 4: Hindu Marriage Act (Advanced Drafting)
- Drafting Terms of Settlement in Mutual Divorce
- Petition for Restitution of Conjugal Rights (Section 9, HMA)
- Application under Sections 20 & 22 of the DV Act (Residence & Maintenance)
- Petition for Judicial Separation (Section 10, HMA)
Assignment 4:
- Draft a Child Custody Application
- Draft a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Mutual Settlement
- Draft a Petition for Restitution of Conjugal Rights
