About the Organisation

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) is a quasi-judicial body in India that adjudicates issues related to Indian companies. Operating under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, it plays a critical role in resolving corporate disputes, insolvency cases, and other matters as mandated by the Companies Act, 2013.

About the Job Opportunity

NCLT invites applications for Joint Registrar, Deputy Registrar, and Assistant Registrar positions on a deputation basis to fill existing and future vacancies at various benches across India. The appointments are initially for a period of three years or until further orders.

Job Responsibilities

Selected officers will handle administrative, establishment, and court-related matters, depending on the role. Responsibilities align with the seniority of the posts:

  • Joint Registrar: Oversee personnel and administrative matters.
  • Deputy Registrar: Manage court operations and administrative duties.
  • Assistant Registrar: Assist in judicial, administrative, and establishment functions.

Eligibility & Qualifications

Joint Registrar

  • Officers from Central/State Governments, Courts, Tribunals, etc.
  • Qualifications:
    • Degree in Law
    • Experience in personnel and administrative matters
  • Service Requirements:
    • Holding analogous post; or
    • 5 years in Level-12; or
    • 10 years in Level-11
  • Age Limit: Max 56 years

Deputy Registrar

  • Officers from Central/State Governments, Courts, Tribunals, etc.
  • Qualifications:
    • Degree in Law
    • Experience in administrative or court matters
  • Service Requirements:
    • Holding analogous post; or
    • 5 years in Level-11
  • Age Limit: Max 56 years

Assistant Registrar

  • Officers from Central/State Governments, Courts, Tribunals, etc.
  • Qualifications:
    • Degree in Law
    • Experience in administrative or court matters
  • Service Requirements:
    • Analogous post; or
    • 5 years in Level 9/10; or
    • 6 years in Level-8; or
    • 7 years in Level-7
  • Age Limit: Max 56 years

Additional Perks

  • Continued GPRA facility for officers already availing it in their parent departments.
  • Deputation governed by DoPT OM No. 6/8/2009-Estt.(Pay II) dated 17.06.2010 and amendments.
