The Department of Justice, under the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India, is inviting applications for the position of Legal Consultant on a contract basis.
About the Opportunity
The selected candidate will be hired as a full-time Legal Consultant for an initial period of one year, with the possibility of extension up to three years, based on satisfactory performance.
Roles & Responsibilities
The Legal Consultant will be responsible for supervising and coordinating court cases, liaising with advocates, preparing draft affidavits, monitoring legal cases, providing legal opinions, and handling other assigned tasks.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s Degree of Law from a recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks
- Registration with Bar Council of Delhi/New Delhi
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Working knowledge of Ms Office, computer handling, and internet browsing
- Minimum 3 years of experience in handling court cases in Government of India offices/autonomous bodies
Location
The job location will be at the Ministry of Law and Justice, Department of Justice, Jaisalmer House, 26 Man Singh Road, New Delhi.
