Job Summary

We are seeking a Junior In-House Legal Counsel to support the Legal & Compliance function across corporate, commercial, regulatory, and employment law matters. The role involves contract drafting and review, legal research, compliance support, and coordination with internal stakeholders and external counsel.

Key Responsibilities

Contracts & Commercial

• Draft, review, and vet contracts, MoUs, NDAs, vendor agreements, service agreements, and client contracts
• Ensure contractual compliance with company policies and applicable laws
• Maintain contract repositories and trackers

Compliance & Regulatory

• Support statutory and regulatory compliance (Companies Act, labor laws, data protection, etc.)
• Assist in compliance documentation, filings, and internal audits
• Track regulatory changes and highlight implications to stakeholders

Corporate & Secretarial Support

• Assist with board resolutions, minutes, corporate filings, and documentation
• Coordinate with Company Secretary for ROC and statutory filings

Litigation & External Counsel Coordination

• Liaise with external lawyers on disputes, notices, and litigation
• Maintain case trackers and documentation
• Assist in preparing briefs and responses to legal notices

Legal Research & Advisory

• Conduct legal research and prepare notes/opinions
• Support senior legal counsel on advisory matters

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Contract drafting and review
• Legal research and documentation
• Basic understanding of corporate, commercial, and labor laws
• MS Word / Excel / Legal documentation tools
