Job Responsibilities:

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents including copyright assignment agreements for content acquisition, licensing agreements, and work-for-hire contracts, in accordance with the Indian Copyright Act, 1957 and global IP standards, as well as non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), service agreements, memorandums of understanding (MoUs), and other legal instruments as required.
Assist in the filing and management of the Company’s IP portfolio, including trademarks, copyrights, and domain names, and coordinate renewals and record maintenance.
Ensure content clearance, maintain chain of title documentation, and coordinate with content creators, licensors, and production houses for verification of rights.
Monitor and ensure compliance with IP protection practices, including takedown procedures (e.g., DMCA) and anti-piracy measures across digital platforms.
Maintain and update IP documentation, rights trackers, renewal schedules, and the Company’s legal contracts database.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders as may be required.
Assist in legal due diligence processes.
Support fundraising-related compliance.
Assist in FEMA and Secretarial compliances and filings.

Eligibility & Qualifications

LLB or LLM from a recognized university, with 4–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the content, media, or entertainment industry.
Proven drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to independently handle agreements including licensing, copyright, and service contracts.
Strong expertise in Intellectual Property (IP) laws, including copyright, trademarks, and content-related IP matters, with hands-on experience managing IP portfolios and enforcement.
