About the Job Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Director / VP of Legal the Legal Manager is responsible for managing the Administrative Assistants and Legal Associates I, II & III. They will also be responsible for working on multiple, complex, confidential, and sensitive materials with substantial knowledge of the work product. The Legal Manager must possess good management skills and be able to work independently while supervising others to ensure efficient administrative operations within the Legal department.
Job Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Office; WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint and Outlook, needed to create detailed spreadsheets, PDF and Word documents.
- Responsible for managing the staff that maintains the physical and electronic file systems.
- Drafts, reviews, revises, redlines, organizes, and finalizes corporate transactional documents.
- Prepares and converts documents and manages the flow of legal paperwork for their legal team.
- Manage Legal administrative and associate staff.
- Manage complex projects to meet project deadlines.
- Effectively communicate project information to attorneys and legal staff.
- Must possess an advanced understanding of work product to draft detailed correspondence when working with HICV management, regulatory agencies, law firms and/or HICV owners.
- Ensure that electronic and physical correspondence is handled in a timely manner by support staff.
- Submit monthly reports to the Vice President of Legal related to department responsibilities.
- Manage and complete multiple and/or additional complex tasks that may become evident and necessary to conduct daily legal business.
Eligibility & Qualifications
Qualifications – LLB
- 8+ years of Legal Associate and/or Corporate Legal Office Management experience required.
- Proven advanced computer skills (including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint) with the ability to learn new programs.
- Strong management, organization, and planning skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to produce quality work with strong attention to detail.
- Must be self-directed and independent with projects, while possessing the ability to work with others.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must maintain a high level of professionalism.
