About the Job Opportunity
As a Legal Associate, you will play a crucial role in managing and executing the contract lifecycle and providing legal support across various business functions. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad spectrum of legal agreements, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and minimizing legal and commercial risks.
Job Responsibilities:
Contract Drafting & Negotiation
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements including:
- Master Service Agreements (MSAs)
- Media & IT Contracts
- Procurement & Consultant Agreements
- Endorsement and Partnership Agreements
- SaaS Agreements, Licensing Agreements, NDAs, Addendums, Engagement Letters, MOUs, Leasing Agreements, and Vendor MSAs
- Customize contract templates and clauses based on business needs and applicable regulations.
- Liaise with clients, vendors, and internal departments to ensure agreements are commercially viable and legally sound.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Provide legal advice on regulatory compliance, contractual obligations, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure alignment with applicable laws, industry standards, and internal policies.
- Conduct legal research and maintain up-to-date knowledge on evolving legal and governance frameworks.
- Review and update company Privacy Policies, Terms of Use, and other legal documentation.
Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM)
- Manage end-to-end CLM processes to ensure timely drafting, execution, renewal, and archiving of contracts.
- Track key contractual obligations, milestones, and renewal timelines using a contract tracker.
- Ensure all contract terms are adhered to and renegotiated when necessary.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with internal stakeholders including finance, operations, marketing, and leadership teams to provide legal inputs.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel on complex legal issues and negotiations.
- Facilitate internal alignment and assist in dispute resolution as needed.
Legal Operations & Documentation
- Assist in contract finalization, execution processes, and document management.
- Maintain proper legal documentation and filing systems.
- Regularly update legal templates to reflect changes in laws or internal processes.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B) / Master’s of Law (L.L.M) from a recognized university.
- 4–6 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the media, advertising, or technology sector.
- Strong understanding of commercial contract law and corporate legal practices.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and contract tracking tools is preferred.
- Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools is a plus.
Additional Note:
- Monday to Friday
- Full-time, In-person
- Immediate joiners will be preferred.
- Candidates with prior experience in the media and advertising industry will have an added advantage.
