About the Job Opportunity
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Advocate on a contractual basis to support our legal needs in the beauty and salon industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial contracts, franchise agreements, labour laws, consumer rights, and regulatory compliance relevant to the beauty sector.
Job Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and vet legal documents including franchise agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, lease agreements, and employment contracts.
- Provide legal guidance on franchise operations under FOFO or FOCO models, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
- Handle legal notices, disputes, and consumer grievances, particularly related to salon services.
- Ensure compliance with local municipal rules, labour laws, and beauty industry-specific regulations (e.g., cosmetic product compliance, hygiene mandates, etc.).
- Assist in resolving franchise partner disputes, customer claims, and internal staff matters.
- Provide training or guidance to internal teams regarding legal best practices and contract management.
- Liaise with external counsel as needed and support in litigation or arbitration proceedings.
- Maintain organized records of contracts and legal correspondence.
Eligibility & Qualifications:
- LL.B. from a recognized university; enrolment with Bar Council of India.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience, preferably in commercial law, franchise law, or the beauty/wellness/retail sector.
- Knowledge of Consumer Protection Act, Shops & Establishment Act, and Labor Laws.
- Experience in handling legal issues specific to service-based industries.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and documentation skills.
- Prior experience working with beauty salons, wellness centres, or franchise-based businesses.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments on a project basis.
- Proactive and solution-oriented legal mindset.
- Contractual engagement (retainer or project-based as mutually agreed).
- Compensation to be discussed based on experience and scope of work.
