About the Organisation

The Principal District Court, Ananthapuramu, under the jurisdiction of the Andhra Pradesh Judiciary, is inviting applications for the post of Special Judicial Magistrate of II Class. This post is governed by the Andhra Pradesh Special Judicial Magistrate of II Class Service Rules, 2024, aimed at bolstering the judicial system at the grassroots level by appointing experienced personnel on honorarium basis.

About the Job Opportunity

This is a contractual judicial appointment to the post of Special Judicial Magistrate of II Class for the Dharmavaram region. The position is open to eligible candidates who fulfill the criteria under the 2024 Judicial Magistrate Service Rules. Preference will be given to retired judicial officers.

Job Responsibilities

• Preside over cases under jurisdiction as a Magistrate of II Class
• Adhere to the administrative and judicial procedures defined under CrPC/BNS
• Conduct regular court sessions as scheduled
• Ensure legal compliance, case management, and fair adjudication
• Submit reports and adhere to the guidance of the Chief Judicial Magistrate

Eligibility & Qualifications

Eligible candidates must fulfill one of the following criteria:

• Retired/resigned Judicial Officers
• Retired Superintendents or above from A.P. Judicial Ministerial Services with Law Degree
• Retired Section Officers or above from the A.P. High Court with Law Degree
• Non-practicing Advocates with at least 5 years of practice and not currently enrolled in any Bar Council
• Retired Gazetted Officers with a Law Degree or who have passed Criminal Judicial Tests and exercised Magisterial powers for at least 3 years

Age Limit:

• 45 to 65 years as of 07.05.2025
• Retired persons must have at least 1.5 years remaining before reaching 65

Disqualifications:

• Currently practicing advocates
• Serving legislators, dismissed public servants, persons with criminal records, or involved in bigamous marriages
• Insolvents or those involved in contracts with the government

Additional Perks

• Honorarium: ₹45,000 per month
• Conveyance Allowance: ₹5,000 per month
• Total Remuneration: ₹50,000 per month (subject to change per government orders)
