Role Description

This is a full-time paid internship opportunity for a Legal Intern at our Bangalore office. The Legal Intern will be exposed to a challenging and rewarding environment where the candidate will gain hands-on experience in legal practice specialising in Indian tax, regulatory, and business matters. The role offers a unique opportunity to work on various aspects of legal research, documentation, and client advisory. This position is ideal for individuals who aspire to build a solid foundation in their career in law with specialization in business and tax regulations.

Some of the key areas of this role are enlisted below

Knowledge of Indian laws and tax laws, and regulations
Legal research and preparation of legal documents
Drafting of legal opinions and responses to regulatory notices
Collaborate with senior team members on complex legal matters
Research on legal provisions and advise clients on regulatory compliance
Perform legal due diligence of clients
Participate in client meetings to understand their requirements and challenges
Actively engage in training sessions to enhance legal proficiency

Qualifications

LLB (Bachelor of Laws) or equivalent legal education
Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail
Knowledge of Indian commercial, business, tax laws, and regulatory framework
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Basic knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Legal research skills and familiarity with legal databases

Stipend & Working Hours

Timings: Mon – Fri (5 days a week)
Duration: 6 months paid internship and translating into a full-time role with the firm
Stipend: INR 12,000 per month
