About the Internship Opportunity
The Legal Intern role is an integral part of our organization’s legal and compliance team. The intern will gain valuable experience by supporting a broad range of legal matters, including corporate governance, contract review, research, and regulatory compliance. This position offers hands-on exposure to real-world legal work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and provides a unique opportunity to contribute to our organization’s operational integrity and risk management strategies.
Interns Responsibilities:
- Assist in reviewing, drafting, and proofreading legal documents, contracts, and internal policies
- Conduct legal research on a variety of issues including labor law, data privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance
- Support the legal team in monitoring legislative and regulatory changes relevant to the organization
- Help manage and organize legal documentation and maintain contract databases
- Collaborate with internal departments to address legal questions and support business initiatives
- Participate in meetings and provide summaries of legal and compliance-related discussions
- Assist with due diligence efforts and the preparation of documents for transactions or audits
- Contribute to the development of internal training materials on compliance or legal updates
- Support in identifying and assessing potential legal risks
- Help with the preparation of reports, presentations, and updates for senior leadership
- Attend and document internal meetings related to legal matters, offering support as needed
- Perform administrative duties such as scheduling, file maintenance, and correspondence
- Work on ad-hoc legal tasks and special projects as required
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree or Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution
- Strong academic foundation in legal studies or related coursework
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated interest in corporate law, compliance, or related legal fields
- Previous internship or practical experience in a legal setting is a plus
