About the Opportunity

Candidates with prior knowledge/ experience of POSH/ POCSO/ Women /Child/ Transgender centric Law will be preferred. This is a remote role and entails interesting work around women and child rights and more. Time frame of internship: 6-12 months, subject to satisfactory performance.

Roles and Responsibilities

Conduct legal research on various issues, including statutes, regulations, case law, and legal precedents on various topics, at both national as well as state level.
Compile and summarize findings to assist with preparation of powerpoint presentations, notes, summaries, policies.
Curate content as per our requirements to create awareness on different laws.
Assist in reviewing, analyzing and organizing legal documents, contracts, and other relevant materials. Help maintain document databases and contract systems.
Track and research on recent updates in the law.
Keep track of incidents reported in the media and prepare legal reports on the same.
Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and maintaining records.
Provide general office support and other ancilliary work that may come from time to time.

Eligibility Criteria

Enrolled as a 4th or 5th year student in an accredited law school or recent law school graduate.
Strong analytical and research skills.
Excellent communication and writing skills.
Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
Knowledge of legal terminology and concepts.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to draft lengthy documents.
