About the Workshop
This Workshop will provide an in-depth understanding and broader perspective of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023 which are set to replace the British Era Colonial Laws, namely, The Indian Penal Code, 1860, The Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 and The Indian Evidence Act, 1872.
About the Speaker
Advocate Geetika Jain is a highly accomplished Advocate and Notary Public, Government of India with a career span of 12 years at High Court of Bombay and Goa.
She is a Gold Medallist in her Graduation in Law and Silver Medalist in her post graduation. She is also currently Research Scholar at Banasthali Vidhyapith where she is pursuing her Phd in law.She brings with her wealth of Knowledge and expertise to her practice. Ms. Geetika Jain throughout her career has worked with Tier 1 law firms on various Landmark cases as well as represented and worked with the Government of Maharashtra.
She is currently working as a Senior Legal Analyst with Government of Andhra Pradesh under the Ministry of Finance. Ms . Geetika Jain specializes and works in Government Policy, Government Litigation , Government Finance policy, Criminal and Civil Litigation
Apart from extensive experience in Government and Law Firms , Ms. Geetika Jain is a regular writer and columnist with Times of India, and has published legal articles in various journals . She is a visiting faculty in numerous Law Colleges in Mumbai. She is also avid speaker in legal conference and webinars and regularly mentors law students
Apart from Ms. Geetika, Jain is a Guinness Group Record holder and has represented India in various trekking expeditions .
