About the Speaker

Adv. Iram Majid is a Standing Counsel for Central Government at Delhi High Court and is a highly accomplished legal professional with over 19 years of experience in arbitration and mediation. She has handled numerous arbitrations and over 300 mediations, earning her recognition as the youngest Indian certified by the International Mediation Institute (IMI). She serves as the Director of the Indian Institute of Arbitration and Mediation and Executive Director of the Asia Pacific Centre for Arbitration and Mediation. Ms. Majid is also a mediator for the ICC and the United Nations Ombudsman and has trained over 3,000 professionals worldwide.

Her extensive roles include Honorary Director at Lloyd Law College and Observer for the United Nations UNCITRAL Working Group II. Ms. Majid is empaneled as an arbitrator across various international arbitration centers and is a legal counsel for the Delhi Jal Board and the Delhi High Court Legal Aid. She has authored a book on mediation, housed in the United Nations Library, and conceived the Mediator’s Wellness project. Among her many accolades are the BIAMAC Top 10 Mediators in Asia-Pacific Award and the APCAM Best Administration Award 2023.
